Education and Career Highlights:
- He studied at Wadi Al-Seer Secondary School for Boys.
- He then attended the Military College in Greece from 1978 to 1985, after which he joined the Jordanian Army as a military physician.
- In 1987, he specialized in general surgery and completed his residency in 1991.
- He served as a military surgeon with the United Nations during the Yugoslav Civil War in 1992.
- Dr. Saad Jaber further specialized in cardiac surgery at the Queen Alia Heart Institute from 1993 to 1997.
- He worked as a cardiac and vascular surgeon in the United States at the University of Louisville, conducting various notable research projects, including a study on the physics and mechanics of blood flow in coronary arteries.
- He established the Heart Center at Al-Thawra Yemeni Hospital in Sanaa in 2000.
- Dr. Saad Jaber participated in various humanitarian missions as a cardiac and vascular surgeon, including with the Military Field Hospital in Nablus in 2000, during the Iraq War in 2003, and in Gaza in 2008.
- He assumed the position of Chief of the Cardiac Surgery Division at the Queen Alia Heart Institute in 2012 and later became its director in 2013.
- He served as the Director-General of Al-Hussein Medical City in 2018, followed by the Director-General of the Royal Medical Services of Jordan in the same year.
- In 2019, he was appointed as the Minister of Health in the government of Omar Razzaz.
- Dr. Saad Jaber played a significant role in leading Jordan's efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, implementing preventive measures ahead of its arrival, and earning international recognition for Jordan's successful crisis management.
