This study explores the political era in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan between 1953 and 1967, a period from when the late King Hussein bin Talal assumed his constitutional powers until the Arab-Israeli War of 1967.
It examined the internal conditions in Jordan from a political perspective, focusing on the achievements of Jordanian governments and parliamentary elections, the Arabization of the army command in 1956, the political crisis in 1957, and then discussed Jordanian foreign policy and Jordan's stance on the Baghdad Pact, the termination of the Jordanian-British treaty in 1957, Israeli aggressions on the Jordanian borders between 1953 and 1966, and the Arab Hashemite Federation in 1958.
It concluded with a history of Jordan's role in the Arab-Israeli War in 1967 AD and its consequences for all parties.
